Directive Responses
There’s no set way to respond to a directive! We encourage Observers to respond in whatever way they feel most comfortable. However, we’ve included some examples below, as well as our current and past Directives, as a starting point for those either interested in writing for MO, or those interested in working with our materials. Example Responses
Current Directive
Our Directives are often a combination of commissioned questions and in-house designs. We often ask about current events, as well as often repeating questions the Archive has asked before. This way we can see how opinion changes over time!
Part one, which looks at Multiple long-term health conditions, is a commission by researchers at Manchester Metropolitan University. This forms part of a larger project led by Newcastle University, which aims to transform understanding of multiple long-term health conditions in hospital patients, and is part of a national portfolio of research exploring multiple long-term health conditions. Responses to this Directive will enable the team to capture unique insights which will create an invaluable resource for current and future multiple long-term health conditions research communities.
Past Directives
Since 1981 we’ve sent out over 100 Directives, with topics ranging from opinions on alternative milks, to the NHS to protesting, to sex and sex education.
Chances are we have something related to what you’re researching! You can view a list of our past MOP Directives here. You can also view and download all the Directives and their individual questions here.
